Late night Thursdays are back and better than ever. Join us for the inaugural Bourbon and Botanicals music series, sponsored by Kentucky Artisan Distillery the Home of Jefferson’s Bourbon, Thursday nights from May 9th – July 25th (excluding July 4th). Bring your friends and family out to explore our beautiful botanical gardens, enjoy tastings of delicious bourbon from our next door neighbors Kentucky Artisan Distillery or purchase a selection of brews, wine, and snacks while enjoying live music from great local bands. We will have an informal plant walk at 5:30 p.m. each evening, with music starting at 6:30 p.m. The concert series is free to our members and included in general admission for non-members. Seating is limited so please bring a chair or blanket. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. This is a rain or shine event.
Kentucky singer/songwriter Charity Radcliffe’s sound is as eclectic as her upbringing: A product of humble beginnings raised in one of Louisville’s underserved communities, Charity learned early to appreciate the simple hidden beauty found along the graffiti covered buildings and rustic train tracks dividing her neighborhood. Inspired by early childhood, her “blue- eyed soul” music style speaks honestly of the shared human experience from multiple perspectives. In true collaborative spirit, Charity Radcliffe the multi-genre band was formed in 2018 with members Derek LaFountain, (Guitar), Tony Downs (Bass), and Greg Morris (drums), whose professional experience added elements of southern rock, bluegrass, contemporary jazz, and local punk, with a shared love of all things rhythm and blues. A delightful combination that unintentionally reminds audiences to erase any imaginary lines of categorization for a truly freeing listening experience.
