Rain Garden

About this Planting
Did YEW know, Yew Dell installed a Rain Garden in 2021? It captures the runoff water from the Mary F. Rounsavall Pavilion, Gheens Barn and Peyton Samuel Head Trust Pavilion, Mary Peabody and Henry Fitzhugh Glasshouse, and the Rockhouse to name the big areas. This small garden helps filter this water before it enters our two lakes in the woodlands before flowing into the Lower Curry Fork Watershed. The garden is constantly being added to as we find plants suited for the area and the extra Camas were perfect for the banks.
